So now you know what it does, you might be wondering what it actually looks like, for all you know it could look like the streaming code bit in the Matrix, or worse …MySpace.
Above, you can see three screen shots of some demo Apps we’ve been playing about with. From the left there’s a music player page, the middle phone shows a title screen and the right shows your homepage and the icons which make up each App. Most of these pages are customisable, you can upload loading screens, and artwork, and choose colours for the icons that make up the App home screen. The icons themselves are selected from a range preset styles, which we’ll be adding to as we go on. There’s something in there from the doomist metal, to the feyist pop and hopefully all the sub-retro-futurist-art rockers in between.
If you know a designer, or can operate a simple graphics package, there’s really no limit to how sweet can you make your App look, but we’ve got a closet full of skins for you to try on, and as we add more and more everyone’s going to get better and better looking, bit like drinking.
We know that how your App looks is really important, we appreciate how long it took you to convince you guitarist to shave off his Soul Patch, and keeping the image of the band in tact is essential, so for that reason we’ve made the whole experience as customisable as we can, and we’re adding to that functionality all the time. We want to add the ability to shave off all band members ‘Soul Patches’ from within the App by the click of an icon by 2015*.
*This is probably never going to happen.
