Collibus     www.bandapp.com/collibus

The unsuspecting city of Manchester certainly has its fair share of great underground rock and metal bands to choose from, and no exception to this are Collibus – a band that firmly stands high up in the ranks. The progressive nature of the music, accentuated by symphonic string arrangements, combined with dynamic female vocals, give the 5-piece a strong and unique versatility. Having won the Rock The House 2013 Discretionary Rock Award, the band became the first ever Heavy Metal band to perform at The House of Commons. Collibus released their stunning debut album, ‘The False Awaking’ last month to critical acclaim and will be performing at Download Festival in the summer.

Drop Down Smiling     www.bandapp.com/dropdownsmiling

Drop Down Smiling are a 4-piece rock/electronic outfit based in Coventry. A strong mix of raunchy guitar riffs, electronic sampling and 4 part harmonies give this band a unique sound. Having released two EP’s to date; 2012’s ‘Down From Your Skies’ and 2013’s ‘Sign Here’, the band pride themselves on the fact that people struggle to compare them to other artists. Drop Down Smiling have also been achieving some great success in the live arena; in 2013 they supported well established acts such as We Are The Ocean, Blitz Kids and Saves The Day as well as multiple festival appearances.

Slydigs     www.bandapp.com/slydigsband

2013 saw the rise of Slydigs, the Rock & Roll 4-piece from Warrington. The release of their debut album ‘Never to Be Tamed’ was met with rave reviews from the press and public alike; Vive Le Rock Magazine giving the album a hearty 9/10, The Big Cheese 4/5 and the NME placing ‘Electric Love’ as one of the ‘5 tracks you must listen to this week’. Having had a ‘doffing’ of the cap from the likes of Mick Jones of The Clash and Mr. Paul Weller himself, Slydigs are looking to immerse themselves in the history books in 2014.

Fans of Faye     www.bandapp.com/fansoffaye

In 2003, Stourbridge native Zachary Hart formed a band aged just 12. Although the intervening years have seen many personnel changes, today’s fixed line-up shares the same ambitions and passion as the 3 friends who began it all, over a decade ago.  Early on, Fans of Faye focused heavily on their live sound on the Midlands gig circuit. This local live focus has been rewarded with a strong and loyal fan-base, who in return have seen them support the likes of VersaEmerge, Natives & Minus the Bear. Their impressive live pedigree has now been channelled into the release of their debut album, ‘Designed To Be’, cementing the bands growing reputation as an exciting and hugely promising new act.

Tiny Folds     www.bandapp.com/tinyfolds

Tiny Folds are a brand new Alternative/Electronic-Rock band from Teignmouth, Devon. In late 2013 the trio ventured up to London to record their debut EP with Australian producer Antonio Hanna of Freefall Studios. The 3-piece then turned their attentions to shooting their debut music video for the leading track off their EP, Mystery/Chemistry.
